DISCUSSION - Grounding Wire Kits

Some Info for U all....

So, why should an automotive performance enthusiast be interested in electrical resistance? Shouldn't we be more concerned about other types of resistance, like the mechanical resistance of moving engine parts or resistance against airflow? Well, yes and no. Obviously, your ride isn't going anywhere if your pistons are grinding against your cylinder walls, but from a pure performance perspective, it'd be wrong to ignore your electrical system, especially since it includes some of the most fundamental components of a modern engine. And the most fundamental element of your car's electrical system is its grounding.

Everything involving your car's electrical system - from nice, fat sparks in your ignition system to nice, fat bass in your subwoofers - requires a free flow of electrons to and from the battery. Good electrical performance requires a grounding system that's prepared to take a lot of current with minimal resistance. Your spark plugs, lights, fans, stereo, air conditioner, cigarette lighter, and so on all benefit from an elaborate electrical network that includes fuses, relays, and high-quality electrical cabling. They all share a common ground, however, and all too often a stock (there's that word again!) grounding system consists of just a couple of skinny braided cables that connect the chassis and engine to your battery's negative terminal. As these sorry connections rust out or come loose over time, the amount of conductive material decreases. This leads to resistance, as your car's electricity is forced to travel over less material. It's not unlike traffic: four lanes definitely accommodate more traffic than two. As your grounding wires deteriorate, resistance increases and all your electrical devices have to work that much harder to overcome that resistance. Even brand new cars can have problems with inadequate grounding, especially if you've installed lots of aftermarket electronics.

IN SHORT: Your grounding wires are the foundation of your car's electrical system. Resistance, in the form of electrical impedance, is the enemy of your car's electrical equipment. This is just example..there are many design of grounding in market now..

Where to put?
Grounding means it will be touching with -ve(negative).so beware if u DIY..the common point -ve is from -ve terminal battery..This is point to install :




1)Body Earth
2)Alternator
3)Cylinder Head
4) Distributor


p/s : our myvi already hv grounding..so if u put another grounding part is better..dont forget to put Voltage Stabalizer to stable ur +ve voltage..

This is how to install grounding cable for your myvi (D.I.Y)

Basically, 5 cables needed

1. Battery terminal to engine block #1
2. Engine block #1 to engine block #2 (picture at the bottom left)
3. Engine block #1 to firewall
4. Engine block #1 to alternator
5. Engine block #2 to chassis ground (driver-side)

No distribution plate or block required.

Distributor only put for old car only.Why?coz no grounding design when they make the car..hehe..just for information..
so don't worry about our myvi..The latest design,but not quite ok la..hehe
If hv plenty of money,why not u all install jer..but dont forget Voltage stabalizer yer..

what i know the grounding wire is not need for standard car or our myv n just need when u have an audio system..is it true?..

Standard car also can install because the most fundamental element of your car's electrical system is its grounding.

Yup..standard car can be install too.It doesn't matter if u hv an audio system..
The theory : +ve give power..-ve reverse the power..

all standard car got gorunding but not as good as aftermarket one...
normally got two type... 4GA and 8GA... different is size only... 4GA smaller is the one same like pivot raizin grounding wire... 4GA is enough for our Myvi from what i heard...

you're correct shamiin22 4GA is enough for our myvi......

8awg is enough for myvi, number at front smaller means the cable thicker

After install 5point 4ga grounding + zaptor 08 vs.... can feel the different.. more comfort while driving and idling.... must buy...
One more thing... Grounding cable is US made, custom lenght and soldered at the lug. Recommended to those haven't installed yet.

I just install the grounding cable... I take HKS brand... I feel diff... While rev no more shacking... More smooth and better... I feel the diff..

How much u get the price so far wat i know pivot raizin blue color another one latest if i'm not mistaken red one Type S including 5 points of GRD Wire

this one the latest one... purple colour.. rm390 include installation

type S so far I can get RM2OO including 5 points GW,the blue one around rm140-rm150

the cheapest I found is RM380 cash n carry...

If u ask me to choice either red or blue pivot... I go for blue... Better

I already check both item the diff only the component coz may be the size & value of blue one such as capacitor,resistor & inductor must be smaller than the new one so that why the new one is more expensive than before

Already installed D1 Earth grounding cable..
Got form 1 guy on mudah.com named Nizam if i'm not mistaken..
Very cheap only RM100..Installed it myself..
Only the difficult part was to tighten the screw on alternator part..
Agreed with all of your opinion guys..
